Darren has over 15 years of institutional finance experience and has served in management capacities at BCT Partners. Darren is a registered representative in the US and a holder of FINRA Series 7, 63, 55 and 24 designations. His previous roles included Head of Cash Equities and Futures Trading for BNP Paribas, eight years at Morgan Stanley and a year and a half at BTIG.
Darren has start up experience at Broadform, an education-technology company, FlyClip LLC, a technology wearables company, and Housetab, a payment processing company. He has served on the Board of Director for Redi, a company that was sold to Thompson Reuters in 2017.
JT has over 30 years of experience implementing IT disaster recovery, crisis management, business continuity planning, and information security programs. He has developed, implemented and managed over 300 continuity and risk programs for a wide-range of Fortune 500 companies.
JT was formerly the Head of Disaster Recovery & Electronic Security for Butterfield Bank, Bermuda, having global responsibility over its risk identification and mitigation programs including disaster recovery for its major data centers.
Mr. Tartaglia advises clients in all industry segments on how to initiate, develop and implement their disaster recovery programs, as well as how to operationalize testing, validation and attestation program elements.
Mark has practiced in all areas of general litigation and has significant experience in the Supreme Court of Bermuda and the Court of Appeal. Mark has been closely involved with the continuing development of Bermuda Fintech initiative and has significant working knowledge in relation to Bermuda legal and regulatory requirements and a plethora of experience in working relationships with Government administrations.
Mark was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1992 and subsequently the Bermuda Bar. He was a founding partner and later consultant of Wakefield Quin Limited and was appointed Attorney-General of Bermuda in 2012 during which time he guided important Legislation through Parliament, created the Civil Asset Recovery Authority and spoke on several occasions both locally and internationally on Bermuda's Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Know your Client (KYC) Regime.
Mark was an elected Member of Parliament from 2008-2017 when he retired from public office. In 2015 he was appointed by the Governor to the Electoral Boundaries Commission and was the Chairman of the Parliamentary Joint Select Committee for the protection of children.
Michael is a seasoned IT practitioner demonstrated by his 30+ years in the IT industry. His roots are in the information security and disaster resiliency planning areas having developed and implemented over 300 customer IT Risk Management programs. Michael is an Assurance Certified Engineer and sought after thought leader for disaster recovery industry conferences and regional user groups. Michael regularly manages large and very complex tests of financial services and Government emergency management exercises used to validate critical infrastructure and incident response capabilities.
Grant Spurling is a Bermudian Barrister, Commissioner for Oaths and Notary public. Grant advises on Commercial and Corporate matters, with a focus on digital asset business and issuances. Grant is also a Director and senior manager of Harbor View Corporate Services, a registered Corporate Services Provider, regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
Grant advises Bermudian and international clients with respect to Bermuda FinTech legislation, regulations and applications, liaising frequently with local and international business support service providers, and representing clients directly in discussions with Bermuda’s FinTech regulatory and advisory bodies.
